PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Two armed suspects picked the wrong deliveryman to rob Saturday in Philadelphia's Mayfair section.
Police say the victim was leaving his home after dropping off a delivery to his family after midnight on the 3200 block of Longshore Avenue.
That's when three suspects attempted to rob him, officials say.
Police say the armed men approached the victim and demanded money.
The victim then reportedly told the suspects the money was in his car.
While the suspects were looking through the victim's car for cash, he pulled out his gun and fired, according to police.
"I don't really like violence, but it's in self-defense, so if he didn't shoot them, they might have shot him, so I think, in that case, there's not much he can do," said Gail of Mayfair.
Two of the men were hit several times by bullets and taken by police to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital.
Police say each of the suspects shot are approximately 20-years-old.
One of the suspects was shot multiple times across the body, police say.
He remains in critical condition.
Officials say the second suspect was shot multiple times in the chest and later died from his injuries at the hospital.
An arrest has been made, and two guns were found at the scene.
Police say the deliveryman did have a permit to carry.
How fast did Biden and the media classify him as a white supremacist who crossed state lines looking to shoot someone?
The good news is there are multiple cameras and video is available, but we've seen what a corrupt prosecutor can do with video evidence.
Some people need killin’.
“The shooter was not personally threatened. They weren’t attacking him. They were only stealing money. He shot them without provocation. He’s guilty of murder”.
Just getting a jump on the DA.
Finally! A feel good story on Monday morning!
“A legally armed delivery person”
The good guy had a permit, the bad guys, of course, did not. This should indicate to anybody with any intelligence what so ever that gun permits are the stupidest thing government has ever thought up. The government allowed this guy to defend himself. That’s not how things are supposed to work.
Previously considered one of the nicest areas of Mayfair...50 years ago 99% of Mayfair was still nice, clean and safe.
Democrats and those electing them are to blame for the decades-long destruction of a once livable city.
They were ARMED, therefore, HE WAS THREATENED.
But I know what you mean about the DA ...and the MEDIA.
The delivery man was Asian so it is not a stretch to say it was a hate crime.
the argument will be made that no amount of property is worth the life of someone, ignoring the fact that the person delivering such items’ life is in danger of being lost to prevent witnesses, and the amount of someone’s life used to be able to purchase said item would also be lost.
good luck to this young man who will most likely be let go by his employer for fear his “victims” will be suing if they survive.
good story to read after taking the trash to the end the driveway.
Fairness and common sense are words the government doesn't understand. For most states, gun permits cost money, i.e., they are a source of revenue. When it comes to plucking the goose, government will do just about anything.

In Massachusetts, it's a law that children in daycare must brush their teeth after lunch.

Someone know good fishing is done with good bait.
If that part was anywhere close to true, this man is in a heap of trouble.
All good but accuracy could have saved him some ammo.
We need to get the deliveryman some more range time.
