But his anti-vaxxine stance guarantees a loss in a nationwide contest. Just my objective opinion.
Not anti-"vax", anti mandate. The mandates have NOT been popular in most polls. Also, you have to consider how people will feel about the mandates in 2024. We all know some early takers who bought the first round of propaganda and now have buyer's remorse, especially when boosters kick in.
If a majority backs Biden's approach on this, then no one worth electing can win.
The Republican nominee HAS to be anti-mandate.

I agree because I am against health related mandates from government. But voters are not politically astute. They might confuse anti-mandate as anti-vaccine.
That is what happened in 2020. President Trump said something like “this covid is just another flu and will disappear when warm summer weather arrives”. Biden on the other hand was hiding in his basement and wearing masks. Voters construed that as Biden was taking covid more seriously.
An example of this is Virginia which Trump lost to Biden by 10 points. Everyone assumed VA was more blue now. That can’t be true, since in the recent election for governor the republican won by 3 points. That is 13 points better than Trump.
