Very sad. I've always been a big Sondheim fan.

Sad indeed but it seems a “sudden” death at 91 could be a blessing. Rather unusual term isn’t it?

Hmmm...another case of “died suddenly.” What does that tell us?

I remember seeing the play “Sweeney Todd” in San Francisco in the spring of 1981. I thought the play was horrible and the fact that the music was RECORDED, not live, made it all the worse. I remember that I couldn’t leave that show quickly enough.

I mostly hate musicals with a passion. But I LOVED Sondheim. He was a genius.

When was his second jab?

Inquiring minds would like to know.

Dunno

But it makes perfect sense how badly this affets older people

It progressively takes down your immune system

Elderly generally have weaker immune systems to begin with

So the effects of the death shot can be way more severe and fast and pronounced

One of my best memories of playing in an orchestra was doing a local production of “A Little Night Music”. All of Sondheim’s music was wonderful.

While our daughter loves musical theater, I have never really been a fan. Still, even I appreciated his genius. RIP.

Song written specifically for Glynnis John’s voice and the how long she could carry a verse. But one of the most iconic Broadway tunes of the last fifty years.
