“What do Democrats really do when they have all the power?” The New York Times asks that question in a video from earlier this month, and … Democrats and progressives will not enjoy the answer.
Of course, anyone in urban centers or California figured this out decades ago, but the Gray Lady’s belated realization is worth noting (via Matt Vespa):
The Blaze summed it up last week:
Harris teamed up with Times editorial board writer Binyamin Appelbaum to examine why famously liberal states — such as New York, California, and Washington — struggle to advance the progressive policies despite little to no Republican opposition.
They focused on three core initiatives of the Democratic Party platform: affordable housing, economic equality, and educational opportunity. And in the end, they discovered that “liberal hypocrisy,” not Republican opposition, “is fueling American inequality” and that things are actually much worse in blue states than they are in red.

They nominate, confirm and install nothing but committed, VERIFIED socialists, fascists and communists to their most important posts of this administration..
Yet we continue to elect demoncrats.....boggles the mind.
They published my editorial this morning:

The title is: Some Questions for Public Officials
Scoop up millions for their own personal gain.
There’s hay to be made by bamboozling since the Garden of Eden.
What we really should be wondering is why any conservatives are still living in deep blue states at all? We’ve seen this movie many, many times before. The left never accepts responsibility for it’s own failures. It’s always a minority of “counter-revolutionaries” or “kulaks” who are to blame. And who are eventually purged.
look at their cities, hell, just look at ITHACA!
Good questions.... I look forward to the responses!
” [...] and that things are actually much worse in blue states than they are in red.”
$100 says they won’t generally support Republican candidates nor advise people to vote Republican in spite of this sudden realization, and, this notwithstanding their proclaimed support of these progressive values...
They would be utopias, but a small amount of unvaxxed people ruin it for everybody
Vermont looks all blue in that picture...
Let’s face it: Having ANY conservative in the state, be it a gun owner or non-ESG biz, ruins it for EVERYONE.
Unfortunately, the majority of people live in those cities & suburbs.
Because upper middle class liberals love them some segregation- schools in NY, NJ and CT are segregated because the folks with money and influence have successfully corralled the Morlocks of the future into certain towns/school districts.
True but blue cities define the politics of an entire state, unfortunately.
The “socialism” is a red herring. Dems claim to like it, and Repulicans say they are against it. Meanwhile BOTH are busy making themselves rich while the peasants quibble.
