Inflation used to be too many employers chasing too few employees with the government printing more money to try to hold off the moment when some employers had to drop out of the bidding and go out of business.

Now you also have government bidding more for many to be non-employees and simultaneously causing supply shocks in energy production, thus increasing inflation from at least three directions at once. That's not healing, that's economic suicide.

Not sure how inflation heals anything but some inflation is preferable to its alternative, deflation. What we have is part temporary (supply chain) and part created (energy, which feeds inflation throughout the economy).

The supply chain will recover, faster if they let it, slower if they keep being stupid in California. The energy situation is getting worse not better due strictly to govt interference. They will kill the economy to get their way, and they must be resisted.

I consider it a patriotic duty to drive as much as I like and enjoy myself as much as possible. It’s well worth the extra cost. I know some can’t do that, so I’ll drive a little extra to make up for them.
