Cardin: ‘We Need to Accelerate’ Getting Off Fossil Fuels Because Oil Price Is Manipulated by Other Countries
Breitbart ^ | 11/27/2021 | Ian hatchett

Posted on 11/27/2021 2:15:26 PM PST by ChicagoConservative27

On Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Alex Witt Reports,” Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD) argued that changes in the price of gas are one reason why “we have to accelerate our program to get off of fossil fuels” and control of the oil supply by other countries is “another reason why we need to accelerate our efforts to get off of fossil fuels.”

Cardin said, “The challenge, of course, is we have to transition off of the fossil fuels to renewable fuels. We need to do that for our economy. We need to do it for our environment. We need to do it for our national security and not to have these variants in the price of gasoline at the pump. So, for all of those reasons, we have to accelerate our program to get off of fossil fuels. And that leads us to what the Senate’s going to be taking up when we come back, the balanced budget, the build back better budget that is — very much contains a commitment to the climate agenda.”

Just the opposite...we need more natural gas. Solar and wind will NEVER in a million years provide our needs. And Co2 is a necessity...

I believe there must be some correlation between population and Co2. As the population grows...so must Co2 to sustain it.

The price of electricity and battery materials will be manipulated by other countries as well. Let’s phase out electric cars.

OK so we get off fossil fuels. How are you gonna make electric-you need coal or natural gas

How are you going to make windmills-it takes coal for heat and elec

How are you going to make solar panels? -Get them from China? They will use coal.

We can destroy America and China and India and the others will continue. The only ones who will suffer is Americans. You do not really think other countries will stop because they are dedicated to climate change do you?

In Am they will say “what did we use before candles? Electricity”.

We will remember being warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

Other countries?

The Biden administration has devastated the fossil fuels
industry with its incredibly misguided actions.

Day after day he finds new ways to suppress our fossil
fuel marketplace.

Cardin is a fool.

President Trump showed us how to lower the cost of fuel and Cardin is one of the fools who destroyed everything President Trump did.

There is no reason to waste time arguing every point. That is the way it is.

Even domestic oil is being controlled by China, through Clueless Joe. The answer is to get rid of Clueless Joe.

What a ignorant thing for this clown to say.

By producing enough oil here to supply the US…you control your own destiny.

These “leaders” are morons.

“... the US added close to 50 billion barrels [over this time period] and now holds an estimated 310 billion barrels of recoverable oil with current technologies, equal to 79 years of US oil production at present output levels.”

We have enough domestic oil to be independent. The problem is with oil price fluctuations. When the price of oil spikes enough to justify increasing domestic production, by the time we have geared up the price drops again.

I’d like to see a reporter ask, “sinator, you state the urgent need to get off fossil fuels. Will you publicly commit to shut off all fossil fuel power at your house and senate office and to take green power for travel? Effective immediately?”

I believe there must be some correlation between population and Co2.

Too many cremations. Need more burials to keep the CO2 in the soil. And human bodies can be an alternate energy source than fossil fuels. (Okay, just joking... unless libs like Biden start doing it.)

I’m beginning to suspect that the whole cancellation of the Keystone and curtailing of exploration is part of the whole Democrat plan to get us dependent on other countries for gas and oil.

And THEN they will whine and complain we are dependent on other countries.

of energy?
