Isn’t it just a fix it ticket.... get your car registered and the ticket gets thrown out or signed off?
No. It’s a steep fine, and it gives the police probable cause to browse through your car. If it’s late model, you don’t have any priors, and you look reasonably respectable, and they don’t find any contraband, your lucky to just get a fine. If you have priors, the car is getting impounded, as well as a hefty fine
