An outstanding local Boston talk host (Howie Carr) just today mentioned some amazing stats regarding the Wuhan Flu. He said that Australia,a nation of about 25 million,has had around 600 Wuhan Flu deaths so far. OTOH,Massachusetts,a state with about 6 million residents,has had 2,000+ deaths so far.

Could it be that Australia's officials are overreacting to this flu?

I believe the sentiment was more like: "Yeah, they're being forced, but it's for their own good and society's too."

Maybe the guy’s attempt to justify what’s happening was more like what you say. I didn’t pay his post much attention at the time, and I’m not going to bother looking it up.
