A long time ago, an illegal alien bought a truck driver license from the Illinois DMV and something fell off the back of his truck; 7 kids died in a mini-van fire when that something hit the van. Dot...dot...dot... George Ryan went from Governor of Illinois to prison because he was Secretary of State in Illinois when the guy bought the license.
Nothing in the story to directly connect this story and that old one, but as I read the headline and excerpt, that was the first thing that came to mind. Hopefully not related, but I am not a firm believer in coincidences.
