I’ve never understood Oprah’s appeal.
In my opinion she peaked as a weather girl in Baltimore. (I think it was Baltimore!) In everything else she’s just pseudo-intellectual TV “noise”.
Incessant TV blah-blah mindless drivel doesn’t even rise to the level of pseudo-intellectual.
In the 50s, my dear old Opa called it the idiot box, and that was back when it was one-hundredth the wasteland it is today. There wasn’t a lot of airtime for pure idiocy when there were three channels on 18 to 24 hours a day.
