Convalescent plasma is no where near as good as monoclonals. Why bother with this when we have a much better therapy?

Convalescent plasma is not standardized and the amount of antibody in a unit (454 mL) varies from zero to a lot.
Much safer to give standardized monoclonal antibody.

the monoclonal antibody cocktails by Regeneron and now other makers are FAR superior to convalescent plasma and FAR, FAR safer ... there’s now no reason whatsoever to administer convalescent plasma, which has always been a desperation measure when no other treatments were known ...
