Their cliff is nearing wolf waits
I’m not sure being the opposition is in the best interest of either country. We both hold goodie bags for each other and they are on the cusp of possibly creating an agreement with Russia on a number of tasks. It will depend on how the US and China can determine a business interest that will suffice to keep them off our backs and visa versa. Many countries have grown too large to not be dealing rather than playing chicken. China, the US, and Russia are three of those and currently are not powerful enough to be a threat to the other two either militarily or financially without total destruction. War now between many countries is suicide for the world and calmer more intelligent heads might prevail and be economically a sounder investment than millions dying for agricultural products.
Can we trust China’s leaders to handle this? I don’t start to think they can. But worse than that, can we trust our current administration either? They would rather hand it to them than work it out for equal interests and the best of those within our country. They’ve already proven that.
