UK High Court rules Julian Assange can face extradition to USA

A British appellate court opened the door Friday for Julian Assange to be extradited to the United States by overturning a lower court’s decision that the WikiLeaks founder’s mental health was too fragile to withstand the American criminal justice system.

(Snip)

U.S. authorities have told British judges that if Assange is extradited for prosecution, he would be eligible to serve any U.S. prison sentence he receives in his native Australia. The authorities also said he wouldn’t be held at the supermax penitentiary in Colorado, the highest-security prison in the United States.

My prediction - He'll never make it to Australia if he is extradited.

Let me be the first to say, Julian Assange definitely didn’t kill himself.

we can be absolutely sure he will die in prison, completely incommunicado. What he did to Hillary and the US deep state is absolutely unforgivable in their eyes.

Real journalism is a crime. Exposing the ruling class’s criminality is a death sentence.

President Trump should have preemptively pardoned him. He has spent far more than enough time in confinement for exposing the Deep State and the Democrats.

I don’t care what happens to him now that he has clammed up so long and protected some of the worst people in the world.
I think the secrecy is counterproductive to his entire mission and that is why he’s a failure and will be branded a criminal.
Just ask Jeffrey Epstein what these people will do to protect themselves.

Did he really expose them? He knows much more about the Seth Rich story and where all that information came from than he will reveal.
He COULD HAVE helped America but in the end he’s not American and it was probably all about money, politician ideology, and personal gain.
I’m probably bitter because I feel he could have exposed the Russian Conspiracy Lie and did not do so.

*** My prediction - He’ll never make it to Australia if he is extradited. ***

According to its own filing in the case, the caveats to the US “assurances” render them meaningless – the US government can still impose the conditions that Judge Baraitser concluded would kill Julian. In fact, the US “undertakings” impose no obligations whatsoever on US authorities to rule out SAMs and ADX. On the contrary: they say that the US government can impose ADX/SAMs once Julian is in US custody, at any time, for whatever reason they decide, in secret.

Also. the serving his sentence in Australia has been a long standing diplomatic protocol between the two countries. It is nothing new.

You obviously have not followed WikiLeaks or Assange over the years.

They have kept their promise to protect sources, and they have a 100% accuracy in all their exposes. Julian is sacrificing his very life to keep that promise.

Help America? When our own Government was effecting plans to kill him or poison him?

Not pardoning Assange and Snowden, while pardoning Kwame Kilpatrick, Rod Blagojevich, and a slew off crooked Wall Street embezzlers, was my biggest disappointment from Trump.

These two men did more to expose the Deep State that Trump railed against than anyone.

Hi.

What crime has Assange committed?

He has no secret clearance, doesn't work for a government agency and didn't steal anything.

Daniel Ellesburg he ain't.

Was he already given a trial in the US?

I'm probably bitter because I feel he could have exposed the Russian Conspiracy Lie and did not do so.

You do realize that he has Assange first took refuge in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London in June of 2012? How he could have exposed anything und those circumstances is a mystery to me.

If/When Julian is extradited he will be put on trial in Alexandria, Virginia, where he stands no chance of a fair trial. It is where US intelligence agencies are headquartered. The court complex is 15 miles from CIA headquarters. The state is populated by employees of the very sector whose abuses and crimes Julian exposed.

The Espionage Act prevents Julian from arguing why he published what he published, what he exposed, and the fact it didn’t result in any physical harm.
