Capaldi was good.
It was the Capaldi series that set the stage for the wokeness, with the black lesbian companion who just could NOT stop putting her lesbianism front-and-center.
There was also Jenna Coleman, who was OK with portraying being in love with the Matt Smith Doctor, but refused to consider that continuing with Capaldi.

Season 9 was the last good season, although I like the Timeless Child idea, because it fits perfectly with The Brain of Marabous, and it brings mystery back to the Doctor. This 6 part season had 2 or 2 good episodes, buy was a mess overall. Looking forward to Russel T coming back.
