Rupert Murdoch Becomes Latest Rich Elitist to Buy Huge Property in Remote Area
Summit News ^ | 13 December, 2021 | Paul Joseph Watson

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch has become the latest rich elitist to buy a huge property in a remote area even as the plebs continue to be told “you’ll own nothing and be happy.”

Murdoch and his wife have purchased a 340,000 acre cattle ranch and attached mansion house in Montana that was previously owned by the Koch family for a whopping $200 million dollars.

The sale of the property, known as Beaverhead, is the largest ranch deal in Montana history.

“The ranch is in southwest Montana near Yellowstone National Park, and features elk, antelope and mule deer. There’s also a 28-mile long river for trout fishing and 25 homes,” reports Bloomberg.

Presumably, given that Murdoch is 90 years of age, the redoubt will also serve as a getaway for his surviving family members.

...

While globalist groups like the World Economic Forum continue to insist that the general public “will own nothing” in the future and “be happy” with that arrangement, wealthy technocrats themselves continue to buy up vast tracts of land.

As we previously highlighted, billionaire Google co-founder Larry Page has been hiding out on and buying isolated private islands in Fiji to avoid tourists who aren’t allowed in.

Bill Gates also became the largest owner of farmland in America earlier this year after “quietly snatching up 242,000 acres.”

Amazon’s Jeff Bezos is also “investing in land on a large scale,” according to Forbes.

Meanwhile, you get to enjoy being locked down in your micro-pod for God knows how many years to come.

Gates owns 242,000 acres scattered across 17 states. Pffht.

There are 10 ranches just in Texas that are bigger than that.

We are seeing the emergence of landed aristocracy in America.

Seeing the emergence??
The buying of ranch property in the west has been going on for decades. Nothing new here, and, the locals are much happier with the Murdoch family as owners than when the numero uno A-hole Ted Turner started buying up the place in the 80's.

Well, not so much. When I lived in Tidewater Virginia we used to joke that if there were to be a nuclear exchange we would simply vaporize rather than die of radiation sickness or starvation. Same if this volcano does blow.

I that volcano goes there is a good chance it will end human life entirely, as well as most any animal which weighs more than 50 lbs (this according to the Discovery Channel).

California still has adverse possession laws for squatters. Have always thought we should take a bunch of people up to Jerry Browns land (2500 acres) and re-settle it, like the Bear Flag republic guys did to Mariano Vallejo.

He was telling me that he and the rest of the locals are really hoping for some really harsh winters to keep all of these folks away.

Where I live in eastern Idaho, near the Montana border, we have the same wish...and it happens.
Wealthy nutters visit in the summer, fall in love with the area, sell their place in California, end up with a nice home here on 5-acres with a Billy Goat, then we get a cold snap of -36 with highs at -17.
Next Spring, like wildflowers blooming, up comes the FOR SALE signs and off they go to Sun City, Arizona...thankfully.

‘Farmland’ is certainly different than a ranch. They each, serve a different purpose.

The big players have spreads In Wyoming and Montana. Gates is supporting building a nuke power facility in that area. Who’s making a utopia? I wonder (speculate) who is buying across in Canada to compliment these purchases?

Just make sure he’ll still be able to eat beef when the rest of us can’t.

We took a short vacation to western Montana a few weeks back. I was absolutely shocked at all the sprawl around Kalispell. Ugh.

I hear it’s bad a bit farther north in Whitefish.

And another announcement of a big ranch in Idaho just a week ago...but nowhere near the scale of this Murdoch ranch. This one in Tetonia, ID is "only" 4,000 acres (not even ten square miles).
Pittsburgh Steelers Co-Owner Stirs up Debate With Idaho Land Grab
Billionaire Thomas Tull is buying up thousands of acres in Teton Valley, including a ranch formerly owned by Microsoft’s Paul Allen

In December 2020, Mr. Tull bought the roughly 4,000-acre Teton Ridge Ranch, previously owned by the late Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, for what real-estate agents estimate was around $35 million; Mr. Allen had purchased it for roughly $10.25 million in 1993.

...including a timber-framed lodge measuring 13,220 square feet, a 17,000-square-foot main house, a five-bedroom guesthouse, a one-bedroom cabin, a building for vehicle and equipment storage, and a 20,318-square-foot horse barn and riding arena.

If Murdock’s place is about 10 miles south of Dillon, that means he’s about 25 miles east of Ted Turners place.

Turner’s place is just SSE of Ruby River reservoir.

There is a minor mountain range between the two.

BTW - Dillon is where Lewis & Clark turned west away from the river on their westward travel in 1805. Sacajawea’s brother was the Chief of the tribe in the area at the time.

I’ve ridden all of the back-county in that area on my dual sport motorcycle. I’ve probably crossed that ranch on Blacktail road.
