When the Myth of Voter Fraud Comes for You
The Atlantic ^ | December 14, 2021, 6 AM ET | By Vann R. Newkirk II

When I met with Crystal Mason recently at her home in Rendon, Texas, we sat on a wide couch that served as the center of her domain, with plenty of space for children, grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. Their photographs filled the house. Mason’s mother called to her from another room, needing advice; later, her eight-month-old grandson, Carter, joined us on the couch after waking up from an afternoon nap. For hours that day, Mason spoke candidly about the illegal-voting case that has consumed her life for half a decade. With us was one of her lawyers, Alison Grinter Allen.

If there is an individual in America who epitomizes one central aspect of our political moment, it might well be Crystal Mason. The story of Mason, a Black woman, illuminates the extraordinary efforts the Republican Party has made to demonstrate that fraud is being committed by minority voters on a massive scale. That false notion is now an article of faith among tens of millions of Americans. It has become an excuse to enact laws that make voting harder for everyone, but especially for voters of color, voters who are poor, voters who are old, and voters who were not born in the United States.

The EffingBI is investigating open and notorious 2020 vote fraud with the same zeal that they investigated Jeffrey Epstein’s and Les Wexner’s open and notorious child molesting and sex trafficking...

My takeaways from this:

The author holds up a woman with an unresolved sentence (felony conviction for tax fraud) who illegally voted (party not stated), plus another woman, a noncitizen (permanent resident), who voted (registered Republican) and claimed to not understand voting laws, as examples of why our voting laws are unnecessarily strict and discriminate against minorities.

Both women are minorities. The author tries to convince the reader that more stringent voting laws unfairly impact people like the two examples given, and anyhow, voter fraud is so inconsequential it doesn’t really affect the outcome of an election.

The timing of the article is interesting. The Democrats got what they wanted in 2020, but this article reaches back to the 2016 election to anchor its arguments.

“...Republican Party has made to demonstrate that fraud is being committed by minority voters on a massive scale.”

First time I’ve heard of this accusation.

"Kobach brought forward just 15 illegal-voting cases, most of which involved people who had accidentally voted in two places. He secured a single conviction involving a noncitizen voter..." How do you accidentally vote in two places?????

The myth is your claim that "that fraud is being committed by minority voters on a massive scale."   Brad Raffensperger is Whiter than the KKK.   Brad Raffensperger is the epitome of Democrat vote fraud and the person who signed the contract with Dominion Voting Systems in Georgia.

SECURITY-FOCUSED TECH COMPANY, DOMINION VOTING TO IMPLEMENT NEW VERIFIED PAPER BALLOT SYSTEM

(ATLANTA) -- After a competitive selection process, the Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger selects Dominion Voting Systems to implement its new verified paper ballot system. Implementation of the new secure voting system will start immediately and be in place and fully operational for the March 24, 2020 Presidential Preference Primary. “Elections security is my top priority,” said Raffensperger. “We look forward to working with national and local elections security experts to institute best practices and continue to safeguard all aspects of physical and cyber-security in an ever-changing threat environment.”

When the Myth of Voter Fraud Comes for You

If voter fraud is a myth, why does the media keep “tilting after windmills” each day? It’s akin to writing endless editorials to prove the tooth fairy doesn’t exist!?

Stringent laws (of all kinds) do, indeed, disproportionately impact stupid people.

This is not, however, "unfair."

No one has yet explained to my satisfaction how mandatory vaxx passes will be any less "racist" than mandatory voter ID.

The fraud is not being committed by minorities. It is the Democrat party using the minority communities to commit the fraud. They know they can flood the ballot boxes with fake ballots because in those communities, the Democrat party controls the polling centers.

It is the Democrat party using the minority communities to commit the fraud.

One would think these communities would become aware and angry at being used as a sort of blunt instrument for fraud by the Democrat party.

The Atlantic churns out anti-democratic stories daily.

They just arrested 3 republicans in the villages for multi voting. They are getting fraud on both sides luckily.

No matter how often or how loudly the left proclaims “THERE IS NO VOTER FRAUD!”, a very sizable percentage of the American people are not fooled..... and know there was much fraud.

Ape Pee: despite there being little evidence of electoral malfeasance in the Sunshine State.

Yeah - except when you compare Obama 2008 in Florida with Biden 2020 in Florida, by county.

It's like using a blood spatter light.

If DeSantis hadn't dealt with Broward and Palm Beach, Biteme would have walked away with Florida, too.

“The story of Mason, a Black woman...”

If they capitalize ‘black’, why not ‘woman’? After all women are oppressed too. /s
