Manchin is playing his role perfectly for the Democrats. There are probably at least a dozen Democratic senators who don’t support this idiocy — including Senate majority leader Schumer — because their donors don’t want it. But they have to keep their stupid voters thinking they DO support it.

So they let a guy who represents a state Biden lost by almost 40 points be the one to take all the grief over it.
