According to China state-run Global Times, the People's Liberation Army (PLA) air corps conducted military exercises with paratroopers along with multiple drones.

The drones delivered supplies to PLA troops deep inside the "enemy line", the Chinese daily reported. The UAVs were reportedly "medium-sized rotary wing drone" with 50 kilograms of munitions.

China has been conducting military drills amid escalating tensions with Taiwan. Chinese troops had earlier conducted military exercises close to Taiwan near an island.

The Chinese newspaper said PLA troops used "swam" of drones for front-line troops during the exercise as they were expected to hold their positions.

As China continues to make its move, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken warned the Xi regime not to make "aggressive actions" in the Indo-Pacific as he emphasized that there is growing concern over China's actions from "Northeast Asia to Southeast Asia and from the Mekong River to the Pacific Islands".

OK, that’s somewhat impressive. But can the Chinese Army integrate women in the infantry, transgenders in Special Forces, and does every unit have a Gender Advisor? That’s the real test of a military’s mettle!

Drones to deliver 50kg of supplies? A triple parachute rig can drop tons of supplies.

Sure, but first the plane has to survive.

Drones would be a good stealth method to deliver small amounts of supplies.

Do we have flak shells available, with smaller but much more numerous shrapnel?

50kg of ammo hardly seems worth the trouble.

The exercise was a huge success, going exactly according to script with synchronized and choreographed maneuvers - all done while the troops sung hearty renditions of “China, Oh China Under Chairman Xi”.

Drones to deliver 50kg of supplies?

that’s “50 kilograms of munitions” not supplies. munitions as in ammo and explosives, not rice and pork.

Taiwan is 100 miles away. The paratroopers will secure the landing areas for the main assault. It’s what paratroopers do.

The chip factories would lie in ruin by the end of Day 1. Invading Taiwan puts China into a depression and civil war within 90 days.

There is zero reason for China to invade Taiwan.

Uh huh, all the more reason for the west to Ole’ the CCP all the way to Taipei. Chinese political instability, Chinese economic problems, integration of the Taiwanese economy into China’s, strategic necessity, Biden, Inc. minding the store, there are many reasons to invade. Are the Taiwanese going to destroy their chip manufacturing? I doubt the CCP would target them. Of course, if the CCP were planning on destroying Taiwanese chip manufacturing for some reason don’t you think they’d prepare for such a possibility? We aren’t talking about DC traitors and dipsh!ts here. Check back in two years.

Yep, Chinese invade Taiwan, and the entire Chinese coast is declared a war zone with a complete stoppage of commercial shipping. Poof goes the Chinese economy.

And the main assault ships can launch the drones to reshoot the paratroopers.

A lot of small, low value targets each carrying limited supplies making them difficult for traditional means to target them.

But en-masse, could be very effective for keeping troops supplied or for selectively bombing the opposition.

With no American guarantee, Taiwan is toast. China, opposed by anything less than the US Navy, obliterates Taiwanese defenses. Everyone knows this. Taiwan, politically, is a dead man walking. When China moves there will be no military response. Most likely Biden and the UN will just sell them out diplomatically. It would be absolute insanity for the US to ever fire on China and risk WWIII over anything west of Hawaii. Trump had them by the economic throat and could deter them. With Biden, that’s off the table. China, DC, Biden, Inc., Apple, Zuckerberg, Bezos, Gates, the owners of Taiwanese chip manufacturing all agree that those chips are pretty vital. There will be a Hong Kong type accommodation that sells out Chinese to other Chinese, but that’s their problem.

update in 2021

https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3979585/posts

There are some updated conversations regarding the sampan civilian navy internal migration approach.

https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3979585/posts

https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/4002096/posts?page=58#58

The chinese will send a sampan navy with 10million “internal migration” civilians armed with CNN uplinks, cameras, and bullhorns. When they get mowed down by our side, the resulting negative PR will be amplified by the chinese knocking out 2 of our aircraft carriers in the blockade with their hypersonic ICBM thermally guided antiship missiles.
America will luze stomach for the fight over what it already calls an internal province of China. Taiwan has never declared independence.
About a third of civilians in Taiwan are ethnic Chinese and maybe only half of them have loyalties and fifth column tendencies towards communist China. They have hundreds of thousands of cargo ships they can fill with civilians armed with cameras, CNN uplinks, and bullhorns.
The resultant slaughter will be live on CNN and the PR backlash will be enough to let China walk right back into their own internal (never did declare independence) province. If we blockade them, they’ll lob thermal-capable antiship ICBM missiles at our aircraft carriers and CNN will record them sinking to the bottom of the sea with the resultant nuclear plume.
America will luze stomach for the fight after luzing a couple $Trillion in carriers and tens of thousands of men in one afternoon, all seen on CNN, with our recourse being... to slaughter civilians. China has all the cards, they just have to lay them down on the table at this point.
And when it’s all over but the shouting, the RINOs and GOPes and democraps will be handwringing, hoping for a quick way to order chinese chips & electronics from Amazon. The chinese want the continued business of globalists so it’ll all be “can’t we just get along” and “water under the bridge” as soon as China is in charge and chips are shipping.

Seems interesting way to replace the classic battlefield runner.

Even if the front gets shot down, the ammo supply is that much closer to the point it is needed at.
