Former President Donald Trump filed a lawsuit against New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) on Monday, claiming her investigation into his business practices violates his constitutional rights, as the ex-president seeks to stem a growing trend of legal problems.
* James has been overseeing a civil investigation into the Trump Organization to determine whether it purposely undervalued properties, according to reports.
* James is reportedly set to subpoena Trump, asking him to appear for a deposition on January 7 as part of the investigation.
* The suit was filed in federal court for the Northern District of New York, and news of the lawsuit was first reported by the New York Times.
* The New York state attorney general’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Forbes.
Another grand jury has convened, reportedly to determine whether criminal charges should be brought as part of the Manhattan DA's criminal investigation into the alleged property value fraud (Full disclosure: Forbes has testified before the grand jury. Cohen claimed he overvalued properties to get financing. Now the claim is he’s undervaluing properties? Unless he gets the values exactly right in all market conditions, they can get him either way. If she floats, she’s a witch. If she drowns, she’s innocent.
They are going after Trump because of the PEADS devolution documents! This is why J6 was orchestrated and being used to silence Trump supporters. They are scared to death of what Trump put in place before he left.
He should demand her tax returns and all real estate, institutional banking and securities records.
He has every right to know if she has been paid off to do
what she is doing. Then somehow they will leak to the public.

Sorry to say, but it likely won't go anywhere. There is a long-standing federal doctrine called "Younger Abstention" that says that federal courts can't intervene in ongoing state investigations; you have to first exhaust your remedies by asserting all your constitutional defenses in state court.
