Illinois health officials on Monday reported the highest number of new daily COVID-19 infections in the state since Dec. 1, 2020.
The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 12,328 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, a yearlong high for the state. The Chicago Tribune noted, however, that the day's results could be inflated due to reporting delays caused by the holidays.
The uptick in infections come amid heightened concerns over the new omicron variant, discovered in South Africa last month, which has not been detected in almost every U.S. state.

Covid has been around for 2 years now, and we haven’t reach saturation point yet where most everyone has had it? When colds go around, within a few months, nearly everyone has had it practically, znd it dies out or weakens as a result.
Article says “cases” are up.
Does not say hospitalizations are up.
I know that some locations are seeing cases go up while hospitalizations are going down. Isn’t that interesting?
This article does make a vague statement that Illinois is seeing a shortage of hospital beds. A very carefully worded sentence. Obviously the labor shortage (caused by stupid vaxx policies) is causing a bed shortage. But it seems pretty obvious that the “surge” in the virus is not consuming hospital beds — or else they would say that, wouldn’t they?
More tests = more cases. The vax golden goose is getting old, so they need a new revenue source: Test kits.

Are these all determined by the now cancelled PCR tests? AKA - the tests that the FDA has withdrawn emergency approval of due to the extremely high failure rate (it cannot Gell the difference between seasonal flu and COVID!)?

Connecticut is in a similar situation where the governor’s wife is involved in the company the state is using to process most of the tests. Coincidentally, he mandated unvaccinated state employees must get a weekly test that goes to that same company for processing.
Hey, I thought Illinois was following the science and has mandated masks indoors for a while now, sometime since delta came around?
What it is the rate of increase in TESTING between now and a year ago?
Are these “cases” serious? How many are hospitalized and severely ill ?
How many have died?

We were unmasked for about six weeks earlier this year. Then Fatso said: cases are up! Put ‘em back on! Now he’s got OSHA enforcing his commands on places with more than 100 employees. No vaxx, no work. He loves bullying people. He’s up for re-election next year and the Chicago Machine will ensure he’ll be enforcing his mask commands for years to come.
Probably the best news of the day. If cases are way up from testing, infections are at least 10 times higher. This covid light variant is gone in 2-3 days. I know many people who recently have come down with what appears to be the same thing, and all, virtually overnight, have recovered.
