Depends on “red state” (Governor) vs. “blue state” and similarly for Mayors.
A lot of NYE celebrations (outdoors, no less!!!) in the red “T” of Pennsylvania have been cancelled out of fear of the O-my CON.
Sorry to hear that. That just sucks. So unnecessary.
Nobody has even suggested cancelling any of the balls, parties or large gatherings of any kind here.
I did read earlier that NYC plans to go ahead with the ball drop in Times Square, but people have to show proof of Fauci-ouchies, social distance and wear masks. Outside. Ridiculous.
