After December 31, 2021, CDC will withdraw the request to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) of the CDC 2019-Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Real-Time RT-PCR Diagnostic Panel, the assay first introduced in February 2020 for detection of SARS-CoV-2 only. CDC is providing this advance notice for clinical laboratories to have adequate time to select and implement one of the many FDA-authorized alternatives.

In preparation for this change, CDC recommends clinical laboratories and testing sites that have been using the CDC 2019-nCoV RT-PCR assay select and begin their transition to another FDA-authorized COVID-19 test. CDC encourages laboratories to consider adoption of a multiplexed method that can facilitate detection and differentiation of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza viruses. Such assays can facilitate continued testing for both influenza and SARS-CoV-2 and can save both time and resources as we head into influenza season. Laboratories and testing sites should validate and verify their selected assay within their facility before beginning clinical testing.

This is causing confusion
1)are they saying that the PCR test were giving false positives because of the flu?
2) or are they saying just make sure the new testing can?
Number 2 is “Duh” so why even mention it unless number 1 was true?
And what was the False Positive Rate?
My 18 yr old granddaughter. Vet tech was just told test or your out. They bought tests from Walmart. I told her to get paperwork. Guess what? Test kit says not FDA approved.

They're also covering for Jao Bai-din refusing the advice to order more tests back in October.
Somebody couldn’t agree on the proper accommodation ($). I have absolutely no faith in the CDC or the FDA.

So, aren’t people supposed to be subjected to a “test” kit funded and developed by Gates and Fauci? Or am I mixing this up with something else that was reported earlier in 2021?
The PCR shouldn’t be eliminated. It should be run along WITH the proposed replacement. Doing so will allow the already recorded “cases” to be adjusted to the error range revealed by the new test. We deserve an accurate accounting.
