There has always been a debate as to why Chris Tucker didn't return for the sequel to the 1995 hit stoner comedy, "Friday."

On Wednesday the franchise's star, Ice Cube, cleared things up, claiming on Twitter that despite offering Tucker up to $12 million to return, Tucker turned it down due to "religious reasons."

Not wanting people to smoke weed is a “religous reason”?

He made “The Fifth Element” unwatchable.

Yeah......NO.
According to the article Tucker is now “open to doing another movie if the script is right.” I believe that would be Hollywood for “Where da money!”

Near the bottom of the page was a headline saying Ice Cube underpaid everyone in the original movie.

So smoking weed is anti-religious, but booze is ok?

It’s because he didn’t want the clot shot.
Took a religious exemption to the shot and the media twisted it.

Uh no.actually this goes back to 1995. It’s why he didn’t appear in the sequel back then. But Ice T is telling us now why.

“He made “The Fifth Element” unwatchable.”

I disagree. He represented a point on the trajectory of our degenerate culture several hundred years fron now, and I think he did a fantastic job doing it.

The original movie was so good. The sequels are so bad. Whatever it takes to stop them. Hollywood is way out of ideas.

In the bible, scripture says you can drink both “strong drink” and wine, but do not become “drunk”. Jesus turned the water into wine as his first miracle, at the behest of His mother at a wedding where they ran short of wine.

There is scripture also that can be interpreted so as to not take mind altering drugs. Of course, in biblical times people took drugs for ailments. Then, like today, mind bending drugs were often used in pagan religious practices. (peyote in the southwest US, for example - there are many other examples). It is no secret that mind bending drugs can change behavior (your spirit) and your thinking (your soul) ...check out this link https://bible.org/question/could-you-show-me-scripture-verses-demonstrate-why-drugs-are-wrong-bad-and-sinful

You asked for an opinion, you got one. you can take it or leave it.

This is an outright lie. Tucker is a nutcase. He made 3 Rush Hour films with Jackie Chan and held out for $25 million for the 3rd which delayed it 7 years. He did not make any other movies or comedy during that 7 years.

He then proceeded to go bankrupt as he basically quit working or paying his taxes.
