Which is consistent with some other reports it seems, although aside from the ICU are reports such as the UK Health Security Agency confirms that 3 in every 4 Omicron cases admitted to hospital up to 29th December 2021 were people who had been vaccinated against Covid-19.
And while i do not deny some vaccine efficacy - if limited and rather rapidly decreasing over time*, there may also be an alternative explanation that may partly explain the higher morbidity among the unvaccinated, which is that such are those who are most likely to neglect their health and thus health care.
As regards race, as reported here, (https://www.kff.org/coronavirus-covid-19/issue-brief/latest-data-on-covid-19-vaccinations-by-race-ethnicity, Dec 15, 2021) the CDC reports demographic characteristics, including race/ethnicity, of people receiving COVID-19 vaccinations at the national level, with race/ethnicity being known for 70% of people who had received at least one dose of the vaccine. And in which both Whites and Blacks up a smaller share of people who have received at least one dose compared to their share of the total population (58% to 61% and 10% to 12% respectively). In contrast, Hispanic people make up a larger share of vaccinated people (19%) and people who recently received a vaccination (23%) compared to their share of the total population (17%). However, among people age 65 and older, the shares of booster dose recipients who are Black and Hispanic are smaller than their shares of fully vaccinated people age 65 and older, while for Whites it is slightly higher than their share. The CDC is not publicly reporting state-level data on the racial/ethnic composition of people vaccinated, nor the race/ethnicity of people who have received at least one dose by age, limiting the ability to gain insight into vaccination patterns among children.

A double-dosed with Pfizer plus a Moderna booster provided greater longer effectiveness. In Denmark as of December 15, 2021 79 percent of those infected with Omicron were fully vaccinated.
Yes co-morbidities are a big issue with those contracting covid and passing away. It isn’t skinny young people we are seeing who pass away. A few young white males recently but they were 300 to 400 pounds in their early thirties. When they lost lung capacity, their weight did them in. Ages are skewing lower but still, not all were the healthiest people.
The hysteria is astounding at least the way the media amps it up. If I stand back objectively and look at the whole covid mess, people really aren’t dying in much greater numbers than they did with other flu and viral epidemics over the past 35 years I’ve worked as an RN. The difference is the politics and the really bad people who are using this to try and bring the world down around us.
I can’t shake the notion(or it will not let me go) that we are under judgment, we have fallen into traps that our national sins have dug for us. Confusion reigns, many grope in spiritual confusion and darkness and our government and media sources provide no real moral guidance while proclaiming that what is truth and goodness are to be regarded as evil.
