A look at the data across the U.S. in counties with the same percentage of elderly people — the highest percentages of elderly in the country — shows that people in the reddest counties are dying at nearly 3.8x the rate of those dying in the bluest counties.
The KOS article is actually quite a polemic with a lot to digest as one who is interested in such (see my covid-19_shutdown_effects), one which I am not going to really get into now, but this line is confirmatory of the political danger facing the GOP (its own fault): "the counties with the highest percent of senior citizens also happen to be the ones where Trump received the highest portion of the vote...The bluest counties average around 14.6% of their populations age 65+, while the reddest counties average 19.2%. That's around 31% more seniors per capita on average."
That is in correlation to what analysts for conservative growth have been saying for decades.
Why is there such a disparity between age and political worldview?
It’s too big a divide to blame it on “maturity.”
These proportions are so vast and constantly growing on the leftists field, that it leaves one stark and cold reason.
When are human beings most pliable for political idealism to develop? When they are young.
Parents handed over the control of education of their children to the
government.
If you think that your children are or have been the last twenty years exposed to logic and reasoning with a variety of world events and actual statistics that show the effects of political philosophies and government yields on its nations, you are sadly mistaken.
Face it. Our children and grandchildren are indoctrinated. Do NOT rely on them “coming ‘round” as they get out there in “the real world.”
It’s not happening and their generation is sounding more and more like the youth who followed Hitler.
