Bed, Bath & Beyond has announced it will close 37 stores, most by the end of February, USA Today is reporting.
The upcoming closings are part of a total of 200 stores that are set to be shuttered by the New Jersey-based company.
In July, the company announced store closures as it aims to trim some of its brick and mortar stores and focus on digital commerce.
The company is one of many announcing store closings. Macy’s also announced it would be closing stores to streamline the company’s operations.

Love that store. Thank goodness, BB&B not closing in my town, though they are in other parts of the state.
Feel sorry for their very nice employees.
They would be HUGE targets for flagrant shoplifting in states that don’t punish.

In a way I couldn’t care less, for as the other person said: I’ve never been in one of those stores.
In another way, it’s tragic. Our economy will take a long time to recover from this insanity.
If you went in one of them you’d probably be their only customer. It’s hard to see how they lasted as long as they did. Maybe they could get MAGA customers by selling My Pillow merchandise, at least they would stand a chance of staying in business.

I never liked those stores. There might be the occasional item in the “beyond” selections, but most of the merchandise seems to be overpriced, low-quality garbage that only looks good through slick photography.

I didn’t know that. Interesting that they are closing stores in many towns in WA but not in mostly Republican Spokane.
Lot’s of B&M Best Buy stores closing. I guess they got tired of being a display for discount online retailers.

I love this store, loved it more back in the late 90s, early 00s. Really nice merchandise, and they used to carry an awesome little bedding brand called Nick and Nora.
Our one lagging store shut down a year or two ago, but the really nice location is still doing well.
