Witch hunts??? LOL
Why should people take responsibility for bad decisions when they can just blame it on someone else?
I am stupider for reading this. Thabks
Women are too quiet in the workplace?
What cave does the writer live in?
;-)
They say a women work is never done, maybe that’s why they get paid less?
I’ve had this sort of conversation with people many times.
For whatever reason, men are far more likely to go to their supervisor and say, “You can’t treat me that way” or “I deserve a raise” or else just start a job hunt, telling themself “I deserve better”.
Women, for whatever reason, seem far less likely to do these things. They sit, and they suffer, and they just put up with bad situations.
And I’ve told women: “You want to know why men are at the top? Because they don’t put up with crap. And you shouldn’t either. Tell you boss you deserve that promotion. Tell that guy to knock off that thing he does that you don’t like. Don’t put up with that stuff.”
And every time — every time — the woman says to me: “You don’t understand.”
Oh, I understand. And your problem is your problem. It’s all on you honey.
What a stupid premise.
Recent studies have revealed that traumatic events can alter a person’s genetic make-up...
—
Love to see those garbage studies. Unless we’re talking natural selection, behavior and events can’t alter a person’s DNA.
The converse theory would be that they have kept the same traits that got them branded as witches and that self-destructive behavior is the thing that holds them back.
How about the inherited trait of women looking around for a MAN to do the difficult & dirty work?
What a bunch of tripe.
It seems to me, the closer to being a psychotherapist you are,
the more you need the services of a good psychotherapist.
Reading one try to address the problems of society usually
winds up with me shaking my head and wondering how a person
with supposed learning, could be so out of touch with reality.
Here we go again with a reason why women are so mistreated
and failure prone due to some outside pressure, even from
hundreds or more years ago.
As men we are taught to take responsibility and deal with
life. As women, it seems a never-ending study of how to
pass off negative behavior onto a person, or one or more things
they don’t have control over. “That’s okay dear, it isn’t your
fault.”
“Now, you men out there. Get to moving... If you’re not
succeeding or pleasing your wife, get your act together
you toxic male beast. There are no excuses, plain and
simple!”
“”””A psychotherapist has claimed the trauma suffered by ancestors in the European witch hunts has harmed today’s generation of women.”””
“””A psycho, who claims to be a therapist, says the trauma suffered by ancestors in the European witch hunts has harmed today’s generation of women.”””
Psychobabble.
Leftists eat this stuff up.
They’re only at the very top of state media, federal and state governments, pop culture and medical tyranny.
So sad
“During the Early Modern era - 1450 to 1750 - tens of thousands of women were executed as ‘witches’ across the continent.”
The “tens of thousands” is from the book “Witch Hunts in the Western World”, by Brian Pavlac. The general consensus among historians is more like 12K-15K killed. Of those, 70% were women. Mostly widows, elderly, poor.
“Recent studies have revealed that traumatic events can alter a person’s genetic make-up.”
Gotta call BS on this one. The person is referring to “epigenetics” where, theoretically, parts of a person’s DNA sequencing can be turned on or off due to external factors. There are pseudo-science SJWs that claim that trauma can be passed on between generations via “epigenetics”.
Something told me the comments would be better than the article. After reading the comments I’m betting the same.
In just after the “see I told you women are bad” comments begin.
Here we go! The witch hunts.
Actually, the witch hunts were rather minor thing in the human history. In time where millions died of plagues, wars, infections, birthing problems, etc. The few witches were drop in the buckets. The whole Spanish inquisition executed like ~2,100 people (men and women), less that few fanatics on September 11 in a day!
And yes there were some in other countries.
In total over the whole history, likely less that a day of Auschwitz. A less than day of Stalin reign of terror. Minutes of Mao great leap!
It is just a great propaganda tool to smear the Church!
