Just heard on ABC radio.
Democrats planning a Trojan Horse to pass the Voting Rights legislation by avoiding filibuster procedures.
As best as I can explain it, Ds plan to remove a provision from an unrelated piece of legislation (NASA related, iirc) and insert voting rights legislation. The radio report said if the legislation originated in the Senate, the 60 vote threshold was unneeded and could presumably move to the house.
I would think they would still need 51 votes to pass it. Can’t see Manchin or Sinema buying into this, but ya never know.
FYI Ping.
Why would ABC news help the GOP?
If true, if you want your government funded moon base and rocket trip to Mars, you have to give control of voting to an earth bound government.
Time to let private industry run outer space and not the government.
This is outright desecration of the Senate, let alone constitutional government if they do this.
It will prove that they’re despotic and evil and the entire session should be null and void.
Like Obamacare you don’t GAME LAWS that we must all be subject to.
This was the mechanism for the ACA and reconciliation.
We play their game by even calling this vote-stealing atrocity “voting rights”.
VOTE DEMOCRATS OUT.
THEY ARE TRYING TO DESTROY THIS GREAT COUNTRY.
Vote them out !!!
Apparently, since it would officially be part of a NASA (or NOA or whatever the Trojan bill is) it could receive R support.
One would assume Rs would become aware.
???
Bloomberg seems to have that the house is discussing the possibility to of adding this to passed NASA legislation that is in conference. Not the first time this trick has been used.

They will stop at nothing to achieve one party rule.
It’s who they are.
People should absolutely refuse to use enemy terminology to describe events.
It is not "Voting rights legislation". It is "Vote Corruption legislation."
That explains it , thanks.

This is outright desecration of the Senate
Well, it’s another desecration. The big one happened in 1913 when the 17th Amendment was ratified.
The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, elected by the people thereof, for six years; and each Senator shall have one vote.
And Trump couldn’t get a mere $8 billion for building a wall with larger majority of Republicans.
States should challenge any federal voting legislation that encroaches on their constitutional domain.
“...vote-stealing atrocity “
That occurred in 2020 at the federal level in the POTUS race and some of the Senate and Congressional races. The fact that the demonkkkraps are pushing this legislation is an implied admission - they are not confident they can pull it off a rigged and fraudulent elections in 2022 and beyond. If they had won “fair and square” in 2020 there would be no need for them to put forth this legislation. Our county is looking more like the old Soviet Union in the stores and Hugo Chavez’ givernment in DC.
Yes, throw you (R) vote in a Dominion Systems machine...vs. 1,908 illegals, dead people and felons who voted by mail.
Don’t people get it? Unless the GOP goes ape sh*t and pushes back, they will be irrelevant, even if they win 45 of 50 states like I believe Trump did.
When you own the mechanics of who counts the votes, the rest is just late night NPR even-toned Commie drivel.
