The scenario of a lone Anatolian Shepherd wandering into a wolf pack ambush is not realistic. A handful of trained Anatolian Shepherds with spiked collars would do just fine against wolves, but would probably never have to face a pack, who would most likely steer clear of them. The ranchers would still lose the occasional livestock animal to stealthy sneak attacks, but the numbers would be manageable.

How much does it cost to buy, train, maintain a “handful” of Anatolian Shepherds?
