Rantz: Seattle judge releases homeless, prolific shoplifter caught stealing 70-inch TV

A homeless man is charged with burglary for trying to steal a massive flat-screen television from the downtown Seattle Target. Staff say it was the 22nd time he stole from the store in the past three months. The entire alleged incident was caught on surveillance footage obtained by the Jason Rantz Show on KTTH. And thanks to a lenient judge, the man was released on his own personal recognizance.

John Ray Lomack is a prolific offender who, according to the King County Prosecutor’s Office, has an extensive criminal history. During the holiday season, Lomack was banned from the department store in downtown Seattle, a location that has been under siege by organized theft and homeless shoplifters throughout much of the COVID pandemic. Staff told police that he’s cost them $6,000 in stolen property since October.

But the trespass order didn’t keep Lomack from returning. He had his eye on a brand new television priced to steal — literally.

In these cities, stores will return to what they were in the 19th century. All the goods will be behind the counter, with perhaps some non-functioning models on display. The contrast will be in low crime towns and cities where self-checkout will come to dominate because people pay for the goods. On-line purchases to secure locations will also continue to expand in the Seattles and San Frans of the world.

Homeless guy steals big screen TV.

He’s obviously not trying to avoid starvation. He’s participating in a linked chain of crime involving theft, fencing of stolen goods, and most likely drug trafficking.

But, by all means, act like nothing bad is happening.

Nice stores will move out. Stores left will have big ugly gates, double doors and thick glass cases. Ugly stores for ugly communities.

Create incentives and rewards for criminals and you get to live in a hellhole.

I thought trespassing was grounds for holding someone without bail in solitary confinement.

Did the judge order the thief to return everything he had stolen?

Urban areas on the West Coast have a dim investment future as we proceed through the 2020’s.
The urban areas are anti industry, anti agriculture and anti manufacturing, which the urban voter & politicians prove in election after election.

What good is high density urbanization if it destroys the nation, with its child like & negative ideologies?

These areas have been babied for the last 30-40 years with lavish public & private capital inflows.

Those days our coming to an end this decade, the gravy train is over.

You have to be a trump supporter to get solitary confinement.

I’m not sure that trespassing is necessarily a requirement.

Are they destroying these cities to get the real estate? It’s always about money at some point.

“Are they destroying these cities to get the real estate? It’s always about money at some point.”

The amount of capital & labor became misaligned about 20 to 30 years ago at the apex of globalist trade & production policies. Policies that benefited the largest urbanized areas in North America, Europe, & Asia.

All these areas lost what made urban areas unique historically- The amount of industrial production on a huge scale that added wealth & value to our nation.

These areas over 40 to 60 years became nothing but consuming entities with political divisions held slightly democrat in 1960 to outright communist in 2020. The urban politicians and voters then launched their negative ideological constructs against rural civilization.

No...No....No....Tax....Tax....Regulate...Regulate..Foreign...Foreign...hate...hate...hate... rural Americans became the doctrines of the urbanized people haters. The people they chose to cherish were foreigners, the enemy became other Americans who had other beliefs and employment.

The large capitalist that actually own real estate in urban America can ride out any economic storm on the horizon.
The urban punk swimming in debt up to his eye balls, is about to get milked by those same capitalists.

“The next 10 years are going to be wild.”
