The truth is that most mainstream GOPers do not want the “working class” in their party
The attitude Schlichter is talking about can be summed up by the Ottawa, Canada mayor's response to the truckers:
"You’ve been here, you’ve made your point, you’ve protested, you’ve disrupted a lot of communities - the ByWard Market, Centretown and so on in our city - it’s time for you to go back to your home,"
In other words, "we don't care, shut up, and go away. We'll do what we want."
Reading about Romania circa 1989, it sure seemed Ceaucescu had support, until he didn't. And the end of his reign seemed to happen fairly quickly.
No matter what the media is saying, Trudeau is hiding. Ardern seems hto be doing the same in New Zealand. I have no doubt the respective Deep State apparatus in various countries are working on their counter moves, but if you have a population that decides it will no longer support the system as it were, not sure what those deep state groups will really accomplish, especially if another front opens via school boards, district committees, et al.
This is not going to come from one person but from we the people in mass, get er done
And that needs to change.
When there is a trucker strike in the USA, many will be amazed at how much of their daily needs & wants are delivered BY TRUCK.
