If you have a Somali district currently represented by a Somali foaming-at-the-mouth, terrorist-loving, America-and-Israel-hating leftard radical, and a Somali runs against her on the Republican ticket who is not foaming at the mouth and does not love terrorists or defunding police, and never so much as played footsie with her brother, but was in the military and came home and raised a family, how is that “more contamination”? Yes, she was born in Somalia, which is why she loves America. No contamination. You won’t find a white bread yankee-doodle dandy to run and win in the 5th District.

Omar’s district is actually majority white by a long ways. This is urban Minnesota. Omar represents her constituents’ views very well.
Good on Shukri for trying. She may have a future, but not around Minneapolis.
