There was no chance of martial law anyway. The senior levels of the military were solidly on the side of the coup as was demonstrated the summer before during the black and communist youth riots.
The entire DC government was weaponized against Trump and by extension, the American people.
And that would have been led by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Alexander Milley.
After everyone that was following along on election night discovered the President had been in a SCIF that night and then his location was not known for another 36 hours it was speculated he was setting up the capture of the insurrectionists.
Then suddenly he was back in public (more or less) and nothing was developing.
At that point I figured he had been told that the military would not follow his orders.
Milley had turned his back on the Commander in Chief and his actions and statements during the ensuing year bore that out.
It is a shame that Milley will never hang for his crimes.
