US ‘working to prevent’ Russian military from operating in Latin America

Secretary of State Antony Blinken's team is "working ... to prevent" Russia from establishing military bases in Latin America as the crisis in Ukraine is widening the diplomatic disputes between the former Cold War rivals.

"We, as a hemisphere, do not accept provocations," State Department Assistant Secretary Brian Nichols, Blinken's top lieutenant for the Western Hemisphere, told the House Foreign Affairs Committee. "And those types of prodding by forces from outside our hemisphere are unacceptable."

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov gestured toward such a deployment earlier this month, when he said he could "neither confirm nor exclude" whether Moscow would take that step while trying to roll back NATO military arrangements in Eastern Europe. Another senior Russian official downplayed the prospect, which President Joe Biden's administration has characterized as "bluster," but Nichols acknowledged that they aren't ignoring the threat.

These fools tucked tail and ran away from goat sex third world era and they think they can take on Russia?

The war industrial complex needs to sell its wares. Part of the globalist plan to get white countries at war with each other while not defending our border.

Such a joke. These fools will get us all killed. Midterms and congressional investigations into the election steal, Biden family payola, Covid coverups. Just hope we have free and fair elections in November.

Blincken sounds like an enraged, agitated pajama boy. If the US sends troops to the countries on Russia’s periphery, why is it so surprising that they send their troops to Central America? If Blincken really wants something important to address, try probing into the alliance between China and the Mexican based drug cartels. China is making money supplying the narcotics the cartels smuggle so easily through the porous southern border that kill so many Americans. Perhaps when Blincken can tear himself away from watching male figure skating at the Chinese genocidal Olympics and stops smoking marijuana, he may act.

Hmmm, sounds like he might have read something about the Monroe Doctrine. Probably just heard the term before.

We have bases all over the world. Many close to Russia. Where do you think Blinken will get our right to stop Russia? Russia has had ties with Venezuela and Cuba for years.

And if I remember cvorrectly, Sarah Palin can see Russia from her house.

But yet behind the scenes Hunter is taking Russian cash for favors for the Putin regime and the Commies in Moscow. The Russian/Soviet bases will not only stay but expand, along with a Chinese presence. And we won’t do a thing about it except to abandon our eastern European allies to the Russian monster.

"Russia is a nominal threat in LatAm compared to China."

EXACTLY...this is the B/O administration (Biden/Obama) using Russia (again) to keep the focus off China.

Actually, Viceroy Biden is working to provoke a confrontation with Russia. This will take attention away from the ongoing destruction of America via Bidenflation, the “immigration” invasion, the crippling Covid lockdowns and the plans to disarm Americans and steal another election. With both Russia and America weakened and occupied, China will have a free hand to pursue imperialist ambitions.

"... if I remember cvorrectly, Sarah Palin can see Russia from her house..."

You remember incorrectly. During an interview Palin said you could see Russia from some places in Alaska. That is true.

Tina Fey on SNL, playing Palin, said "I can see Russia from my house." That is funny, but not true.

And delivered the line with a straight face.

Everyone brings up the Monroe doctrine. The Monroe doctrine also stated we would stay out of European disputes. The doctrine is a dead letter now.
