A California substitute teacher was caught on video berating a student over the "Thin Blue Line" face mask the eighth-grader was wearing. The 13-year-old said he wears the Thin Blue Line mask to honor his police officer father.
The intense confrontation happened on Monday at Lyman Gilmore Middle School in Grass Valley, California. That's where the unnamed substitute teacher got into a shouting match about Lucas Lillar's Thin Blue Line mask during a math class.
Students in the class recorded video of the teacher arguing with the teen over the face mask.
The teacher is seen in the video telling the student that his Thin Blue Line mask that pays homage to law enforcement is "not American."
"That’s not the American flag that’s the new confederacy flag," the teacher loudly proclaims.
The middle school student allegedly wore the same mask last week with the same eighth-grade teacher, but there was no altercation. However, Lillar claims that the teacher approached him about the face mask this week. He said that the math teacher sat at an empty desk behind him and started the argument.

I didn’t see the substitute’s name anywhere. This needs to be demanded by all parents and everyone should be notified.

Whatever really happened, I have to say this.
When I first saw that flag - and it was full size 3x5 on a Jeep - I was offended. As a patriotic Code flag-loving citizen.
TBH, really, no one should be messing with the US flag. It is “desecration”.
So, I wonder if this man actually had those thoughts.
OTOH, when he makes those “Confederate” remarks - that smacks liberal. Except lots of Republicans embrace that ignorant view, too, just by the fact “Lincoln was Republican”.
It’s one thing to pick on an adult for supporting blue lives matter, but bullying a kid? One of the most disgusting things on earth. I hope this despicable excuse of a teacher gets what they deserve: a good old fashioned beat down and termination of their employment.
Why was the name of the student, a minor, publicly released yet the name of the adult substitute teacher was protected?
As I said I think it’s pretty interesting this idiot going on about how the Blue Live Matter Flag represents the “Confederacy’’ since it was Southern Democrats who created the Confederacy. Interesting further more since we now have a Democrat administration in DC.
That’s neither being liberal or conservative.

It is indeed a fact, but it’s also solid conjecture that something changed c. 1900 wherein Democrats became more about “Progressivism” (socialism) while Republicans less so. (Teddy Roosevelt left the Republican party declaring himself “Progressive” - which I doubt any prominent Republicans had done SINCE.) They flipped basically. Also consider Dems UNIVERSALLY celebrate the US ONLY when it comes to the “Civil War” - they are lock-step pro-Union and Lincoln; otherwise they hate the US, while this is not true of the average “Southerner” today. Republicans as usual are more “open-minded” on this and many of us do not sympathize much with Lincoln and the “Union”.
I watched the video on CBS 13. The “teacher” is a substitute and big, fat white guy.

School administrators said they cannot release personnel matters; but besides being a nasty, ignorant behemoth, this child abuser is a contractor, not an employee ... so why not release the pig's name? ... 'though we all know why they won't ....
