Europe’s energy crisis has led to a shortage of natural gas supplies, and France could pay the price.

French natural gas pipeline operator GRTgaz warned that gas stockpiles are much lower at this point in the year than they have been during years past.

France's energy problems have been exacerbated by the lower-than-usual capacity at the country's nuclear power plants.

The Brits aren't the only European nation to find itself on the verge of a full-blown energy crisis... French natural gas pipeline operator GRTgaz warned that French gas stockpiles are much lower at this point in the year than they have been during years past - and as a result, they run the risk of potentially being depleted before the winter is up, a disaster that could make last year's deep freeze in Texas look tame if a sudden cold snap sends demand soaring.

...

We’ll probably be close to zero toward the end of March.. GRTgaz chief Thierry Trouve said

...

the most precarious for French gas inventories since they arrived at their lowest seasonal level since 2018. Inventories are now at the lowest seasonal level since 2018, when the country ended the heating season with storage at a record-low of just 3%.

France's energy problems have been exacerbated by the lower-than-usual capacity at the country's nuclear power plants, some of which have been closed

...

France's energy woes could create a serious political problem for President Emmanuel Macron ahead of elections in April. Energy inflation is already creating serious problems in the UK, and if renewable power generation lags

Macron just needs to get his population out near the windmills and have them blow toward the propellers.

It will also stop them from being at home, using energy.

It's a “two-fer.”

Libs will tell us we need more green energy to save everybody from freezing to death because of global warming due to natural gas shortage.

And they wonder why the rest of us don't take them seriously.

It’s time for conservatives to yell ...

Solar — all the oil in the ground, once came from energy the sun dropped on the earth. The trees grew, they fell down, and decayed. IT’S ALL SOLAR ENERGY. No energy ever cam from anywhere other the our sun.

Europe can go dark for all I care, France is the exception, at least they lead in nuclear present reactor problems aside. Sometimes ones highest and best use is to act as a warning to others.

Quick, France. Build more windmills. And cover the Eiffel Tower with solar panels.

See, every problem has a solution. You”vejust got to think it through.

Notes:

Finland obtains 94% of its natural gas from Russia. Germany gets 40% of its natural gas from Russia. Spain obtains most of its natural gas from Algeria.

Macron is up for re-election in April.

Hey, as long as every French person in France remains silent about muzzie violence and its coddlers, and is mask- and vaxx-compliant, what's the problem?

This will become all the more interesting, as France sells nuclear-generated electric power to neighbor, Germany, which is soon to experience its own energy "oops."

Years ago, in a debate with a German professor, I asked how does anyone stay warm against the cold. Basic answer: burn something.

The green marketing revolution has made burning "something" a crime against the planet. Because CO2, Because nuclear is bad. Because petroleum is polluting. Because coal is dirty. Lunacy is a byproduct of politics these days.

What the radical Dems (as if there were any other kind) want for us. Keep that thermostat at a toasty 38 and hope you still don’t run out of fuel. Renewables/green bullsh*t strikes again.

In retrospect, letting an 8 yr old girl run your national energy policy was perhaps questionable judgement...
