A Canadian province has conceded to nationwide demonstrations by the nation’s truckers and will abolish vaccine passports immediately and end most COVID-related restrictions by month’s end.
Jason Kenney, the premier of Alberta, announced Tuesday evening that the passport requirement to enter businesses in the province will end at 11:59 p.m. local time and most other restrictions will be gone in three steps over the next three weeks.
“Now is the time to begin learning to live with COVID,” Mr. Kenney said in a televised address. “These restrictions have led to terrible division.”
“We cannot remain at a heightened state of emergency forever. We have to begin to heal,” he said.
The Ottawa ‘Freedom Convoy,’ which has shut down Canada’s capital in the past weeks, has spread throughout the country and trucks have been blockading the southern border wth the U.S., demanding an end to all COVID-19 mandates and restrictions.

This announcement is coupled with the threat of a crackdown on the trucker protest and Kenney is calling for annual COVID shots in his statement among other things.

Small dose of sanity. Albertans are salt off the earth. This will be much harder in other provinces.
They can come back at a time of Premier Jason Kenney’s choosing. He called for annual shots in his statement.
The truckers blockade in southern Alberta at the border is now up to all lanes as a result of Kenney’s empty speech that’s really about temporary relief to hopefully break the back of the protest movement to sheer some support off.
What are we waiting for? I been yelling for 2 years!
I hate to say it but I am hearing the guy said that people will still need to be clot shotted and he reserves the right to once again restart Vax passports.
I am hoping this not a ruse to declare that they gave in to the Truckers so that the truckers go home.
The people involved, this man Denney included, are all liars and have abused the Charter of Rights to harrass these truckers.
Perhaps the shutdowns at the borders have spurred on this action. Time will tell.

Truckers are holding the line!! HONK!!!!
Kenny is in a tough spot, because provincial premiers aren’t as independent from the federal government like state governments are.
If he defies the federal government, the Son of Castro will just decide to take tens of billions of dollars away from Alberta in retribution.
And all it took was a popular nationwide strike that brought the nation to a standstill and sent the leaders into hiding.
Alberta ends FORCED INJECTIONS.
