Butler Anthony Hopkins had no opinion of what was going on in Europe before WW2. When pressed his further response pushed a European leaders button excoriating the depth of the common man.
Seaman McQueen(Holman) sat at the dinner table with a British diplomat and an American missionary arguing over the local peoples and their interests. When questioned McQueens response:”I’m just an engine room mechanic.”
Hopkins expressed regret that he couldn’t do more than just his job. McQueen? He died in the end leaving a beautiful young Candace Bergen(19 at the time) alone.
