Wokeism offers pre-packaged, shrink-wrapped, off-the-shelf righteousness to anyone who bends the knee. It requires little effort, sacrifice, or intelligence. Simply believe, complain, criticize, and accuse—it’s that easy. In exchange, you’re rewarded with a flattering identity: you’re now a crusader/warrior/hero who vanquishes villains (imaginary villains, but villains nonetheless)—all at seemingly no cost. It’s free handouts of meaning in life. It can seem quite attractive.
But there’s a catch: it drains away your humanity.
There’s also a hidden cost: it requires a significant lack of self-awareness.
This lack of self-awareness creates a crucial vulnerability.
Wokeism is ultimately a religion for the faithless. They think they’re morally superior to everyone who isn’t in their cult, based on their newly invented, highly imaginative, man-made system of ethics. Lurking beneath every one of their policies is the implicit message: “I’m a good person, but you’re not.”
They’re delusional, of course, like cult members who have been dangerously brainwashed. But this offers us a key advantage.
They’re working to undermine America from within. If that’s how they want to play, we can do the same to them. This means understanding how they think and undermining them from within.
But how?
Their basic strategy for achieving moral superiority works like this:

It’s a giant virtue signal that gives “spiritual” balm to secular humanists.
The old Letterman joke comes to mind: “ Lose weight without diet or exercise; that kinda just leaves disease.”
A few months ago, I accepted a connection from some young loan broker on LinkedIn. As many do, he sent me a message of introduction after I accepted his request. He immediately instructed me on his preferred pronouns. I don’t recall my exact reply, but it was something akin to “I don’t know you and, therefore, could not care less about your childish, boring pronouns...”. Well, his little noggin exploded and he unleashed the most defensive and vile message of outrage and indignation that I’ve ever experienced (but likely common over at DU). It was fascinating and instructive to learn that a little scratch can pop the balloon!
Not too long ago leftists were screaming that they didn’t want anyone ‘imposing’ their values on them. Now look what’s happened.
People have gotten rid of their religion, then they gave to find another religion to replace it.
Like yard signs, this is why masks are so crucially important to most wokesters and the left. THEY ARE VISUAL AND SYMBOLIC. They are almost as visually powerful (to the delusional) as the red swastika arm band. Many will have a difficult time ever abandoning their masks - which have become political security woobies.

Why is Wokeism so attractive to so many?
So that conservatives will want to send them off to war, to die.
None of this crap will ever be in a library, if they still write books.

Collectivism sickness with the belief that scolding those not like them will somehow increase their worth as a human being…all the while virtue signaling through mental illness they are “good” people.

Look at those who are attracted to, I hate this word...wokeism.
It’s the Roger Goodalls, and others in leading positions, who are enjoying the disruption in common sense. And they Soooo want to be considered “hip” and progressive, another word I hate.
The only cure for wokeism is 18 inches of cold steel. It has been so since the dawn of history.
…Because it’s simple, brainless and self affirming.
