NEW YORK (AP) — Dr. Deborah Birx has a memoir coming out this spring that will focus on her contentious time as White House coronavirus task force coordinator in the administration of President Donald Trump.
Harper, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers, announced Monday that Birx’s “Silent Invasion: The Untold Story of The Trump Administration, COVID-19, and Preventing the Next Pandemic Before It’s Too Late,” will be published April 26.
“I wrote ‘Silent Invasion’ to document the full extent of what I witnessed as I tried to save lives during this devastating time,” Birx said in a statement. “In the book, I expose the true cost of mistakes that were made at all levels of the federal government, but I also clarify the things that went right yet remained largely unseen — the insights and innovations that saved American lives in this pandemic and are essential to preparing for the next.”
During her time with Trump, Birx drew criticism for everything from allegedly telling him in April 2020 that the pandemic would soon end to not standing up to the president when he contradicted advice from medical and science experts. A notable moment was her limited response when he publicly speculated that the virus could be fought by injecting bleach.
“Frankly, I didn’t know how to handle that episode,” Birx told ABC television in March 2021. “I still think about it every day.”

That response shows she is nothing but a sleazy damned liar.
I read the book by Dr. Scott Atlas “A Plague Upon Our House” detailing his experiences, and he fingers Birx as the most egregious culprit in much of the stupidity we have seen, assigning a lesser role to Fauci.
She came across to me as a woman who would complain about men, and their infantile power trips in the byzantine hallways of bureaucracy to maintain power and influence, and in her position, showed that women in these respects are exactly the same in every respect, if not worse due to that attitude.
She was guilty of poor judgement, tenaciously trying to guard her own kingdom, sabotaging efforts to improve the situation.
I grew to have as much contempt for her as I do for Fauci, and that is no mean feat.
Just in this small blurb, you can see the distortions. Trump used the bleach as an example of a possibility not an actual treatment. I am sure she will not focus on the lies about the origin, masks, gain of function, and ivermectin. Her trip, when she was urging everyone to stay home, will be described as a heroic trip to visit family. This is just a vehicle to bash Trump and pad her retirement.
I’ve seen it enough to know when any of these deep swamp critters get a book deal, it is really just a payoff from the deep state for one of their own.
