That’s an excellent point. I’d make the same observation that we are society run by people who constantly cater to the whims of women. Prager might have noted that even religious sects where women are excluded from clerical roles probably have a disproportionate number of women in their congregations.

Agree wholeheartedly. This has been the "virus" spread by mass media, the "vector" for all the damages caused, economic and otherwise.

Romans 13 is balanced by Acts 5:

…28“We gave you strict orders not to teach in this name,” he said. “Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and are determined to make us responsible for this man’s blood.” 29But Peter and the other apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than men.

It's all about balancing the WHOLE of Scripture. Obedience to the Authorities is instructed, even if we don't always agree. However, when it crosses the line into disobedience to GOD, then we Christians must not quote Romans 13 as a way of shirking our "mandate" to teach our children. This mandate, by the way, goes all the way back to the Torah, Deut. 6:

…6These words I am commanding you today are to be upon your hearts. 7And you shall teach them diligently to your children and speak of them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8Tie them as reminders on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.…

Nowhere in either the OT or NT are we instructed to obey the authorities when they tell us to shut down our places of teaching or worship.

The media highlights the young exceptions, but the average age of COVID deaths in the US was 79 years old.

We should not have shut one business or School down for COVID. Trump had to because he had to answer to other 80 year olds.

Trump “had to” . . . ? He was in favor of 15 days and no longer FWICS; it was state governments that went for longer than that. And not too many of those are run by octogenarians.

My governor told churches and synagogues to carry on as usual and ignore all mandates from the fascists in DC. If an oddball church wanted its congregation masked and jabbed, the governor also had no problem with that. Those congregants were free to attend different churches.
