Heavy tow trucks and front loaders equipped with forklift arms began clearing trucks from Wellington Street just before 2 p.m.
A group of several dozen protesters continued to face off with police at the corner of Bank and Wellington streets.
But a major push by police had cleared the road in front of Parliament Hill.
Tow trucks sat on Laurier Street near city hall earlier Saturday, their company logos covered or removed and some of their drivers wearing face coverings.
Further south on O’Connor Street, Tom Hutar hurled abuse at a CBC reporter who was live on camera. “I’m just calling them propaganda,” he said in an interview. “I’m just calling it out like I see it.”
Hutar, who is from Midland, Ontario and made the five hour drive to Ottawa the past three weekends, said he felt mixed emotions as police routed protesters and began removing vehicles that were left on Wellington Street.
“I’m scared, enthused, definitely not down. What a time to be alive,” he said, pointing to the line of police. “Well, what I’m feeling is, I guess it’s adrenaline. It’s something else.”

I watched CBC news coverage today. They were very focused on the orderly resolution of the blockade/protest, for the benefit of Ottowans. Absolutely no interest in the merits of what was being said by the truckers. You could watch all day and get no inkling of why the convoy occurred. SMH.

Tyrants, goons and thugs don’t care less about church hymns.
They worship at the alter of big government.
But it's clear the cops don't care ... they just don't give a damn ... in fact, I get the sense from watching that some of the cops actually enjoy the pain they are inflicting on unarmed, peaceful protestors.

I think the people who live and work downtown who have had to put up with all the crap from these protestors including ignoring the injunctions also don’t care either.
They had better do more than give him an earful. They have to convince enough liberals that he has gone off the deep end and is dangerous. They need to toss him as Prime Minister.
People who keep saying we need to be peaceful are the ones prolonging the situation and making it worse.
Sooner or later, the gloves are going to have to come off. You’re not going to defeat tyrants with bouncy castles and dancing.

All the protestors can do -- since they're unarmed (unfortunately!) -- is chant and plead for sanity and compassion .... but the aggressors just don't care; all they want is obedience.
They’ve certainly exposed Trudeau for what he is.
I don’t think he’s long for political life.
