Biden is totally dumbed by what to do about Putin’s invasion of Ukraine and taking Taiwan now would paralyze Biden and the US.
Could not be a better time for China to move.
Neither would happen if Trump were in office as he legally should be.........
Even if he wasn't, Joe lacks the will or capacity to penalize China.
At this rate, North Korea may as well take on South Korea.
The only thing that will stop further attacks is a firm statement and resolve by us that we will fight to win. Ambiguity plus Biden will cause an avalanche.
I mean fight to win if Taiwan is attacked.
The more dominoes that fall it must become apparent that Biden’s weakness is an existential threat.
Elections have consequences.
Our previous President understood that. He also understood that without money, a country couldn’t do much without money.
So what was he in the process of doing, starving the beast.

I have been there many times, and know many people living there. Sadly, I have to agree. The ROC has built a nice society for themselves - developed, pleasant, wealthy. But along with it they lost all spine. something like 10-15% of Taiwanese are living in China - doing business, going to school, having mistresses, etc... Taiwan has reduced its term of military service to something like 4 months. its Army is small, and understaffed. I read that 40% its armored units can't operate due to lack of manpower
It seems Taiwan's only strategy is to somehow hope the USA will save it, and otherwise roll over and accept the inevatible.
Who will fight to win? Who will fight for Ukraine or Taiwan?
My DIL does, too. She’s terrified.

We can’t do much about Ukraine.
We need to do something about Taiwan.
But I do not know if we have the stomach for it.
What is worrisome is, after multiple fails, Joe will overreact causing a war.

I posted a whole back that all the Chinese would have to do is dock troop transports at their major ports and just start off loading troops and armor. Control the airspace and China rolls right in and barely a shot is fired.
Of course, many said that that would be impossible.
Time will tell
They will not invade. The PLAN will only blockade. They will wait out the Taiwanese who will eventually have a to capitulate.
