These requests might bear interesting fruit. Story is that an hour or so after the OKC Bombing, an OHP Trooper stopped a driver on I-40 heading east. Fit the best description of the mysterious accomplice of Timothy McVeigh. Dark complexion, clothing, etc. After holding him for about 40-minutes, the Trooper was told “Go along. Nothing to see here.”
The Trooper thought something was fishy about the whole thing, especially the guy’s I.D. and story about where he had been. Later, nothing checked out about the guy and the FBI was strangely incurious.
Yes, CIA reported that a witness saw McVeigh and one other unknown individual exit the truck before detonation.
The FBI pressured CIA to recant such information.
There was also a report that a rental sedan was stopped between OKC and Dallas with several "middle-eastern" men; the license number on the vehicle matched the plates that were observed on the brown Chevrolet pickup that was seen speeding away from the Murrah Building. If your have not read it, I recommend "The Third Terrorist" by Jayna Davis and "Others Unknown" by Stephen Jones who was McVeigh's attorney.
I REMEMBER THAT DAY!
ABC news covered it and said people needed to be on the look out “for six men of swarthy mid east complexion, in blue jogging suits seen running from the area of the blast.”
