Legally he can, anytime - freedom of speech. But there are laws dealing with fundraising and time requirements. So, no, this was not an announcement.

The fence sitters out there, might do some hand wringing, but what most will be concerned with is jobs, $5 - $8 gallon gas, inflation, millions of foreign nationals subverting our sovereignty and rule of law, etc. etc. etc.

No way he would say what he said tonight and not run. He told the world tonight he's running (& will win again), "We'll be doing it again a third time."

You’re assuming they are not tired of the game - esp. if it offers the same players - and won’t either just throw up their hands and give up (you can see even right-leaning folks doing that in just this thread alone) or vote third party.
