The more success Ukrainians have, the more likely Putin is to go 'scorched Earth':

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., told "One Nation" Saturday what he believes the Biden administration could do to end Vladimir Putin's war on Ukraine and gave a grim warning about Ukrainians' success against Russian forces.

SEN. LINDSEY GRAHAM: Never in the history of the world has a bad guy been so exposed as Putin is right now. Their entire economy in Russia depends on the oil and gas sector. How about this idea? Shut it off. Don't buy Russian oil and gas. Produce more American oil and gas.

We should have as much will to produce oil and gas to help our economy and our allies as the Ukrainians do to stand up to a Russian tank. To the Biden administration, I want to help you, but you've got to help yourself. The single best thing we could do is to stop the oil and gas sector in Russia from thriving and increase oil and gas production in America to help our own. …

Russia going scorched earth depends, If he uses Nukes, then Russia is forever an enemy state. They can’t come back from that ever, just like Germany can’t come back from the holocaust.

More, it would make Ukraine useless land for exploitation, a thing Putin doesn’t want. He might go fire bombing, or heavy conventional weapons. I think Putin would try even poison gas before Nukes.

It’s like a zombie movie. Ukraine has risen the Uniparty from the dead, and they are out looking for brains.

Biden has put more sanctions on American companies and the people than he did on Putin. Treasonous behavior.

Uniparty can’t come back from embracing green energy.

If they realize they have to save the dollar and build actual energy policy, then they might be signal they were wrong.

Sometimes it can be hard to figure out what Linda is actually up to, but nothing that comes out of his mouth can be trusted. He says one thing and does the opposite around 99% of the time.

Quite possibly true. Putin has been trying to win the hearts and minds of the Ukrainian people. If it goes bad he may have to take off the gloves.

Graham and the other RINOS are positively thrilled at the chance to act pro-American and unite with the Democrats over the Ukraine mess that the Democrats made.

Nobody is trying to “save” the oil industry that Trump revitalized. These same RINOS went along gleefully, though quietly, with its destruction after Trump. They are for the “green” destruction of America as much as the Dems, they just want to wave a flag while they’re doing it. War gives them the chance.

So far, it looks like the Russians aren’t even taking out things like water and electricity. The propaganda is intense, and a lot of conservatives are falling for it. If you find yourself on the same side of an issue as Lindsey Graham, some self reflection might be in order.

A simple test: does it seem more likely that a winning side would tell its civilians to throw water balloons at tanks, or does that sound like a plot to generate civilian casualties for propaganda purposes?

The “world” has already been turned against Putin.

Except for Red China.

Now Russia needs to win fast, and do what has to be done to get it done.

If the Ukrainians are winning, then the Russians are losing when they are supposed to have completely overwhelming superiority.
If the Russians are in fact losing, then in response to this it is fair to ask:

1. Given that the invasion maybe stalling, are the Russians actually capable of a "scorched earth"?
2. Are they willing to, given the international response they will face?
3. Will it accomplish anything they wanted to achieve in invading Ukraine?

Sherman had the manpower and materiel to do what he did. Putin doesn’t. On top of that, Russian demographics are horrible and are just going to get worse.

Question is, will the Generals do it for him? My Spidey Sense tells me they didn't bargain for this, they expected it to be quick and dirty, they have to know the score now.
