I’m getting out of banking except a checking account with just enough balance to pay bills with.
It’s time to think of banks simply as bill-paying services and to think about savings (wealth storage) as a completely different category.
I would say a good rule of thumb is to strive to have a large portion of your wealth in a form which no court could know about, much less seize. Because wrongthink will punished and impoverished to the extent the system can do so conveniently. Don’t make it convenient for them.
