The Kremlin has announced its demands for ending the war in Ukraine:
-Ukraine must change its constitution to guarantee it won't join any "blocs", i.e. NATO + EU.
-Must recognise Crimea as part of Russia.
-Must recognise the eastern separatist regions as independent.— Patrick Reevell (@Reevellp) March 7, 2022

And what will Russia do if Ukraine accepts these propositions? What security guarantees does Ukraine get?
Never reward low life criminal scum by letting them keep the fruits of their criminal actions.
Although I don’t believe Zalenskyy would ever agree to all that. If he goes down with Kyiv, I wonder if they will leave the offer on the table.
Kinda like Anton Chigurh in ‘No Country for Old Men’.. This might be the best deal they can get.

When one side makes demands of the side that’s winning the hearts and minds battle, those demands are not likely to be met.

Seems like it. I guessed that he wanted the Ukraine government totally replaced, and nothing less would work. Of course, my guess is only as good as anyone in the Biden admin... meaning not worth much.
Agree. I thought Putin wanted the whole enchilada.
Putin deal for today also states he wants Russian puppet installed as Prime Minister for Ukraine and Zelinsky would lose power and would only be honorary President.

Same ones they got when they gave up their nukes.
Those separatist areas are always going to be a thorn in the side of Ukraine anyway.... might be time to redraw lines...
Just my own opinion.....Putin realizes he has efed up and is looking for a way out!!!!
And what will the Ruskies do for the Ukes other than annihilate them? That mighty white of them.
The same kind of guarantees Russia gave Ukraine in 1994 that Putin ignored in 2014 and 2022. Completely worthless.
