Not much has changed from Feb. 25 demands.

Are you going to go to war with Putin to take originally Russian Crimea, largely settled by Russians away from Russia and give it Ukraine who only had it in the first place because Kruschev assigned it administratively to Ukraine? Are you going to go to war with Putin so that the Eastern Russian districts that have rebelled against Ukraine can be forced to be part of Ukraine? And are you going to do all of that so you can get another couple of cities to build NATO andministrative buildings in and hire European bureaucrats at high salaries to sit in - all paid for by .... you do know who the mark in the room is don’t you?

The eastern regions are very important, as they give Putin access to a port on the Black Sea.

Yes, but you have to understand that hearts and minds being won for what? These Ukrainians are going to end up just like you and me because the west is going to be like China and that is no great win.

The promoted good side of this turd smells as bad as the other side.

Freedom? That is going to get a new definition just like “vaccines” and dummies will buy it just like they did with vaccines.

We’re all doing the same thing - just watching and speculating. No one here is responsible for it.

Never reward low life criminal scum by letting them keep the fruits of their criminal actions.

That’s not going to happen. Zelinsky and the Ukrainian people will accept the current Putin terms except for the puppet prime minister and honorary president deal.

And Zelinsky has already been laying the foundation for getting the Ukrainian people to agree with not joining NATO. That’s what he was doing with his pleas for a Nato no-fly zone over Ukraine which he knew would never happen. That was for his people so that they will say, what did NATO ever do for us? (even though NATO gave them all the missiles that have been used to blow up the Russian airplanes, tanks and APCs).

There will be no NAT0. And no EU. At least until after Putin is dead.

LONDON (Reuters) -Russia has told Ukraine it is ready to halt military operations “in a moment” if Kyiv meets a list of conditions, the Kremlin spokesman said on Monday.

Dmitry Peskov said Moscow was demanding that Ukraine cease military action, change its constitution to enshrine neutrality, acknowledge Crimea as Russian territory, and recognise the separatist republics of Donetsk and Lugansk as independent states.

RE: Ukraine must change its constitution to guarantee it won’t join any “blocs”, i.e. NATO + EU.

And what security guarantees does Ukraine have that Russia won’t invade her again if she does? This is obviously a non-starter.

RE: -Must recognise Crimea as part of Russia.

An acceptable solution would be for Crimeans to vote in a referendum whether or not they want to be Russian or Ukranian or independent.

RE: -Must recognise the eastern separatist regions as independent.

A face saving solution would be for Crimeans to vote in a referendum whether or not they want to be Russian or Ukranian or independent.

SAME HERE.

Let the people decide. The solution would be for Eastern Ukranians to vote in a referendum whether or not they want to be Russian or Ukranian or independent.

Lessee here - cede areas long claimed by Russia and end the latest Euro-pissin contest or have the country leveled. Tough choice.

They did, in 2014. "Leave Ukraine" won 95% of the votes.

I notice that dropped from his demands are demilitarization, “de-nazification,” and, at least implied, regime change.

The war may not be going as well as putin thought it would.

"What security guarantees does Ukraine get?"

Same ones that Russia gave them before it invaded them twice.

Dunno.
Number one should be a no brainer. Ukraine will not be part of NATO.
Number two is recognizing the situation as it actually is. Russia holds the Crimea and Ukraine has zero chance of dislodging them.
Number 3 is an issue. There are a lot of resources (oil, gas, and coal) in the Donblass area. Ukraine probably deserves some sort of compensation for lost revenue.

IN any case, Putin’s price has actually come down!

Sounds like that’s all they wanted from the start…

Don’t see any demands that are any different from well before invasion.

“Never reward low life criminal scum by letting them keep the fruits of their criminal actions.”

You are referring to Zalensky, with his multiple off-shore millions and his Miami Beach real estate?
