'I am fearful of them trying to do to us what they did to those involved to Jan 6'..
HAGERSTOWN, MD — An anti-COVID-19 restriction trucker convoy circling the nation’s capital will not be entering Washington, D.C. — at least not yet, organizers said Monday.
Organizer Brian Brase spoke to members of the convoy early Monday morning at Hagerstown Speedway in Maryland, where the convoy had camped out for the night. Brase told the assembled crowd that the convoy would not be entering the capital yet out of fear that it would be cast in the same light as the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol Riot.
“I am fearful, [myself] and the organizers are fearful of them trying to do to us what they did to those involved in Jan 6,” Brase said. “It is our belief that they will try to do that.”
..
“That means at this time, meaning today and tomorrow, we are not and will not go into D.C. proper.”
The convoy leader said that he is aware that some of the members of the convoy “passionately” want to go into D.C.
“But I have to worry about the safety of the children that are in this convoy, I have to worry about the safety of each and every single one of you and I don’t want that on my conscience that I brought people down there and bad stuff happened,” he said.
“Right there is a little baby over there,” he continued, pointing to a baby held high above the crowd. “There are two sides to me in this. There is the side that just wants to get s*** done. Then there is the side where I am genuinely concerned about the actions that they are taking in downtown D.C. in the event that we show up down there.”
His comments refer to the District of Columbia activating 400 members of the national guard in late February related to concerns about the trucker convoy moving into the city.
“These trucks in this convoy are the drivers livelihoods,” said a visibly emotional Brase. “These trucks need to remain safe. Because these folks that are here that are driving trucks…these trucks are everything to the truck drivers that are here. These trucks are what put food on their kids tables.”
Members of the convoy told The Daily Wire Monday morning that the convoy is protesting all COVID-19 restrictions and wants President Joe Biden’s administration to pay attention to their demands.
“We are here for freedom,” said Bobby Coleman, who had traveled from Kentucky in a pickup truck to join the convoy in Ohio with her husband Kim Coleman, an army veteran of 26 years.
“It was a set up in January 6, and it would be a set up now if we go,” she added, discussing whether the convoy will go into Washington, D.C.
They are right to fear. We have a criminal government.
Why doesn’t the article say the fear FBI attacks.
When they eventually do organize and roll into DC, every single vehicle needs to have at least one camera with audio going. Preferably live-streaming so that if confiscated the truth is already out.
They are in hostile territory and they know it. Be smart guys.
While we all dreamed about blockading the beltway and starving them out within a matter of days (or even hours), the same could be accomplished in weeks (or even days) by refusing to do any deliveries or pickups in said area.
Bkmk
Yeah. Joek might nuke them.
They shoulda went to Delaware in the 1st place.
Absolutely correct! This can not be said often enough.
The rightfully elected President is in Florida.
D.C. is where the vote fraud coup installed puppet of the CCP, other foreign entities, and his accomplices, reside.
No reason to go there.
However, it is good that the truckers rally the people to remember that our government is supposed to serve "We The People", not the lawless criminals that seized power, and currently occupy D.C.
God Bless the Convoy!
Keep up the good work!
I think it’s the right decision. Maybe a year or so ago, it wouldn’t have been a fear but no one expected January 6, 2021 to take off like it did with people arrested, still in jail, lies, ongoing investigations etc. Smart move IMO!
Smart move.
I drove to Hagerstown Speedway Saturday and spent the day with several thousand patriots. The crowd was massive with cars parked 1/2 mile away.
I hung a hammock and spent the night there to join the 65 mile long convoy on Sunday for two laps around the DC Beltway.
Every overpass had anywhere from 1 to 100 patriots cheering us on.
Police presence was very heavy, especially in Virginia. The officers all looked very bored since they had nothing to do.
Haven’t been there in years, but, just continuously circling the beltway at the speed limit would probably get the message across.
Ya. The beltway is a race track. Average speeds are 80 mph.
Gazpacho would arrest them.
Note them. Track them down over time.
That is how totalitarian or fascist regimes have worked.
Not going in to DC proper will probably not save them from the gazpacho.
So this wasn’t a thought before someone decided to start the convoy??? Just asking for a friend.
Yup. Sometimes I kind of wonder. We had Jan. 6, we had Ottawa, and just now - after everyone gets there - this thought occurs? I’m with them all in spirit, but efforts of this size should mean something, should make a difference.
Good move, I feared this would turn out bad for the good truckers, like Canada.
Pretty sad but totally true. DC is a crime scene occupied by a foreign installed belligerent force. I am getting angrier everyday that they have not been physically removed.
